She has completed a Bachelor of Theology (Melbourne College of Divinity) and has worked in the areas of publishing, educational resource writing and editing, professional training and the research of health ethics at the Southern Cross Bioethics Institute (Adelaide) and the former Bioethics Centre at St Vincent's Hospital (Melbourne).
