Introduction
Campion College Australia is a three year Liberal Arts college grounded in the traditions originally established within Liberal Arts institutions in Europe and the United States. Liberal Arts colleges and universities have existed in the United States for hundreds of years - over 250 Catholic liberal arts colleges and universities with over 750 000 students are currently operating in the United States.
Campion focuses on one Bachelor degree program: the Bachelor of Arts in the Liberal Arts.
Campion is a community of learners and leaders. Its subjects and student life programs derive from the Catholic Liberal Arts tradition, which has as its ideal the education of the whole person, and is noted for its high standards of scholarship, respect for human dignity, community service and stewardship.
As an orthodox Catholic institution faithful to our traditions and in union with the Magisterium of the Church, the essential purpose of Campion College is to place students on the path to Christian wisdom, a wisdom born from the contemplation of both natural and divinely revealed truth.
Campion College is open to all students regardless of religious denomination. Regardless of the student’s cultural and religious background, learning about the history and philosophy of Western civilisation, in its proper relation to the teachings of one of its most influential and enduring institutions, is a great grounding for life and work. Equally, a Liberal Arts degree provides a wonderful foundation for post-graduate education.
Through traditional and innovative instruction, partnerships, and exchange programs, Campion students study in an environment that enables them to acquire the competencies necessary to enter a competitive multicultural society. The College dedicates its resources to the education of students who are motivated to learn and to be community leaders - especially first-generation higher education students desiring to advance their careers and to grow in understanding of their Catholic faith and to enrich their lives.
It does this through a comprehensive, systematic and well-grounded education in the Liberal Arts.
