Entry Requirements

Applications are made directly to the College, and not through the admission centres operating in various states. Interested students may apply as early as the second semester of Year 11.

Admission is determined by a combination of factors, including Year 12 grades, essays, letters of reference and personal interview. The College's philosophy is that a broad assessment of a student's ability and aptitude is desirable. A key criterion will be the applicant's demonstrated eagerness to learn and to enter fully into the life of the College, making the most of the educational and religious opportunities offered.

Application Deadline

  • On-time applications are expected to be submitted by the end of October each year.
  • Late applications can be lodged at any time after October.

Alternate Entry

Consideration will be given to applicants who do not have their HSC but who are able to demonstrate a capacity for intellectual work at a tertiary level. Entrance is based on the above and prior academic performance. Applicants with TAFE Diploma qualifications, Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), Tertiary Preparation Certificate or a partially completed degree may be eligible to apply for the BA degree full-time or part-time. Please contact us to discuss.

Home schooled students can also sit the Standardized Assessment Test (SAT). The SAT helps colleges and universities identify students who could succeed at their institutions and to connect students with educational opportunities beyond high school.

Pathways Option - Students who don't meet the above criteria can enrol in the Miscellaneous Program. Students have to achieve a pass in two subjects or a credit in one subject to be eligible to enrolment in the BA degree in the following semester. (There is no FEE-HELP available for miscellaneous students).

Early Acceptance Scheme

This scheme is designed to allow students finishing secondary school to be considered for an offer prior to their final results being available. Applications will be considered on a supporting statement included with the application form; performance at an interview; and assessment of performance in humanities-related subjects in senior secondary school - BA description.

To be eligible for this Scheme, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a current school leaver (i.e. finishing Year 12 in NSW or its interstate equivalent this year).
  • Be studying at a school in an area recognised as disadvantaged in terms of educational outcomes for students (such as Western Sydney, or rural and remote areas across Australia).

Interviews for this Scheme will be held between late August and December, as required. Telephone interviews are possible for applicants who cannot come to the College in person.

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees are $1900 per 6 credit point subject ($15,200 per year for full-time students). Campion offers FEE HELP, the Australian government scheme which allows you to defer your fees through a student loan. This is repayable under the tax system once you are earning approximately $44,900 per year.
